At 10 a.m. December 3, Robert Prescott, executive director of Massachusetts Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary led a trail walk around town-owned Kent's Point for the Orleans Conservation Trust.

On January 7, Kris Ramsay, Administrator of the Orleans Conservation Trust (OCT), led an educational walk along the edges of the 22 acre Namequoit Bog Conservation Land.

Join local botonist Rich Eldred for a 1 hr 30 min walk along the edges of a very hidden and unique rare Atlantic White Cedar swamp.
Directions: (70 Quanset Road)From Orleans center, head east on Main Street and turn right on Rt. 28. Turn left after about two and a half miles onto Quanset Road. Stay right on Quanset and follow for about a half a mile to the entrance of the Town Water Department facility.

Join American Chestnut Society representative Rufin Van Bossuyt for a 1hr 30min educational walk through 30+ acres of conservation land. Along the way you will see the very rare American Chestnuts growing and thriving like no other place on Cape Cod.
Directions:(35 Namequoit Road) From the intersection of Rt. 28 and Main Street in Orleans head south on MA- 28 for 2 miles. Take a left onto Namequoit Road and follow for .3 miles to town parking lot.

Directions: (80 Bakers Pond Road) From Orleans shopping center follow Rt 6A West towards Brewter for 1.1 miles. Take a left onto Bakers Pond Road and follow for .6 miles. Parking will be on your right.
