Kris Ramsay grew up in Maine and has always been an advocate of and understood the importance of open space. Kris graduated cum laude from Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH with a major in environmental studies and a minor in communications.

A young college graduate in 2009, Kris was looking for work in the environmental field when OCT was looking for some temporary help. Kris stepped into the land manager job and was so productive and helpful that OCT hired him permanently that same summer. From March 2009 till the winter of 2011 OCT shared him with the Dennis Conservation Trust, where he accomplished similar good works.

In December of 2010 OCT got some good news. Thanks to a generous Orleans' resident, familiar with OCT's work and mission, OCT was able to expand Kris's job to a full-time position. Now Kris serves as OCT's full-time administrator.

Kris oversees and assists all facets of the organization, whether it is land management, land acquisition, education, fundraising, membership, etc.
Kris also works directly with Town Agencies, Cape Cod's AmeriCorps Program and other local conservation groups. In 2010 and 2011 Kris was a guest speaker for The Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trust's Southeastern MA Land Trust Convocation.

Kris's motto is "There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes choices," making him a perfect fit for OCT and Cape Cod.
